Why Your OKR Is As Bad As Your Agile

Ever wondered why the new buzzword is OKR? What does it bring to your company? Did you already try it? Did it help?

In this talk I'll reflect on some of the current industry issues with this valuable tool. Why its adoption often struggles, what to do about it and how to detect issues early on.

Target Audience: Everyone, actually. Decision Makers, Devs, Architects, Coaches, All sorts of Managers
Prerequisites: None
Level: Basic

Extended Abstract:
We may all have heard of - or even suffered under - the current big buzzword: OKRs. Google does it, so it must be great. However, in many orgs it has turned out to not turn them into Google in an instant. Why is that? What can we learn from how the adoption of Agile currently is? What could orgs do better? Is OKR a valid tool after all or just the new hype that will vanish soon? Will it turn into "Dark OKR" like Scrum probably did?

This session consists of an interactive part, some analysis, lots of storytelling and then some conclusions.
