Nikolai Solmsdorf

Nikolai Solmsdorf is an AI Software Solutions Engineer at Intel. As such, he is responsible for providing software engineering on AI workloads and consulting on this matter to Intel's customers. Holding a PhD in Asian Studies and a MSc in Computational Linguistics, both from the Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) of Munich, he has developed a strong focus on linguistics and NLP. For numerous years, he successfully contributed to various research projects, e.g., at the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BAdW) or the SOAS University of London. At Intel, adding to our general expertise in AI, DL, and ML, he is contributing to our foray in optimizing DL models for training and inference on CPU and GPU, with a particular interest in state-of-the-art transformer/NLP models.
