Facilitating The Unknown: Leadership Integrating Outcomes And Relationships

Time: 18:30 - 20:00
Talk: Nmi 4

Increasing complexity invites us to work more and more with less certainty: our objectives may be unknown when we start or even stay unknowable while we go.
What we do know is that we are working with people and that what we create is based on how we relate. Helping people to experience a new level of relationship at work is critical to achieving business agility.
We are leading people into stronger and more intentional relationships, being able to work more effectively with unknown or unknowable objectives, for a more agile business.

Target Audience: Managers, Coaches, Leaders, Scrum Masters, Project Managers
Prerequisites: Good working knowledge in facilitation – practice and intuition more important than theory
Level: Practicing

Extended Abstract
This is an interactive workshop where we demonstrate our leadership as facilitators: We serve our clients – and the workshop participants – by being examples of how we relate to each other, to them, to the outcomes, and the world.
It builds on years of shared learning and experience in large group facilitation that Ken and Olaf had individually and together over the last nine years.
For anyone involved in transforming a business, the learnings from this sessions will move your needle of helping a large group move towards outcomes. This could be in big planning meetings, strategy sessions, management off-sites, large retrospectives, and any kind of meeting where moving beyond the sheer process and towards emergent outcomes might be valuable.
A previous version of this session got really great feedback last year, we are building on the same principles and structure but aiming for complimentary outcomes this time, adapted to this year's conference motto "Into the Unknown".
