Strategies for Creating Fearless Change

Things are not perfect. There is a need for change! You have some ideas but you feel powerless to make them happen (most people do!). If you’re stuck, this workshop will provide some ways to get you un-stuck, and will help you design ongoing activities for building momentum. Managers and non-managers alike are encouraged to attend. No matter who you are, it is possible to make things better - you bring the passion and this workshop will help you move forward with less fear and more strategies for embracing change.

Extended Abstract:
You see a need for change, but you are stuck. This workshop will help you get unstuck.

You will learn how to:

  • Create an evolving vision
  • Build an emotional connection to help people care about the vision
  • Communicate with different people, including the sceptics
  • Do a fun activity to identify challenges and plan next steps throughout the process of change

MaryLynn Manns is an independent consultant based in Asheville, NC. She is the co-author of the popular "Fearless Change" and "More Fearless Change: Strategies for making your ideas happen" – two books that contain timeless strategies used by successful leaders of change. MaryLynn has done numerous presentations and workshops on the topic of change at conferences and in organizations that include Microsoft, amazon.com, Procter & Gamble, Apple, and Avon.

Thomas Ronzon arbeitet seit 2000 als Projektleiter und Senior Software-Entwickler bei der w3logistics AG in Dortmund. Dabei beschäftigt er sich vor allem mit der Modernisierung von unternehmenskritischen Logistikanwendungen.

In der Zeitschrift JavaSPEKTRUM berichtet er regelmäßig über neue „Tools“ für Architekten (The Tool Talk). Darüber hinaus veröffentlicht er regelmäßig Fachartikel und spricht auf Konferenzen. Thomas taucht leidenschaftlich gerne und tief in technische Aspekte ein, verliert dabei jedoch nie den Bezug zur Fachlichkeit. Mit viel Empathie, Erfahrung und konkreten Lösungsvorschlägen schlägt er damit immer wieder die Brücke zwischen Business und IT.
