This session will help teams and organizations to manage impediments, and give you a solid foundation for understanding, managing and smashing impediments so that work flows more smoothly through your system. Through a series of exercises, you will get started with creating your own impediment removal process.
You will come away from this session with your own impediment removal process already started, and everything you need to put it in place when you get back to work. If you are a manager or leader in an organization then impediment removal is one area where you can provide value to your teams. This area provides one answer to the question “what do managers do in agile?” You can play a vital role by helping people to see impediments, fostering a culture that values impediment removal, and removing the impediments they can’t remove on their own. This is also an area where you can develop people’s problem solving abilities and coach them to navigate the wider organization outside their immediate team.
